Li Yuan Ascends the Throne李淵登位
Like the moon on the third, fourth, fifth night, not full;
half absent, half present, not yet whole.
Wait for the fine night of the fifteenth,
and everywhere will be bright and full.
English rendering: our editorial version.
Incomplete for now. Wait patiently; fullness is coming.

另本 Variant:譬若初三四五蟾,半無半有未完全,須教十五良宵夜,到處清光到處圓。
Li Yuan Ascends the Throne
At the end of the Sui, the empire fell into chaos and rival warlords set up puppet emperors. Li Yuan rose in Taiyuan, secured the heartland, entered Chang'an, and in time proclaimed the Tang. The moon waxes from crescent to full.
Slow and not yet clear; it ripens in time.
Plans are not settled yet. Hold steady rather than expand.
This lot invites care with money: thin profits; wait for the right time. Treat money moves as personal judgement, not a prediction.
This lot invites gentle attention to wellbeing: recurring symptoms need patient, thorough care. This is reflection, not a diagnosis.
Keep old vows; a stable but quiet home.
Held up for now; a later date works better.
Hard to find; look again later.
A stalemate. Waiting may favour you; seek a settlement. A qualified adviser beats any oracle for binding matters.
